I think this sums up a good amount of what minecraft is and why it's important for future generation of kids. It aids in learning somewhat as well as they have an education edition, which as a parent that homeschools or schools want, they can grab and get.
As it's base if doesn't look like much, but as the whole it's an overwhelming and massively overwhelming popular game.

Remember though redstone on the mobile version of the game is different from the pc edition due to a bug that made redstone what it is today. If your kid wants to do redstone, I'd recommend doing it in java edition and using mods if it wants some of the features that the pocket edition has, quark mod will fix that easily.
